What I’m Watching Tonight:
The Office is back with two new episodes tonight on NBC. I have to admit that I’m still waiting for McNulty to come in and start questioning Stringer Bell Charles, or at the very least try to clone his cellphone. Anyways, last we saw The Mifflinites Michael pulled a Jerry Maguire and took Pam with him (but alas, no goldfish) to start The Michael Scott Paper Company. Obviously that will most likely be the primary focus tonight but it also looks like we get plenty of Jim and a parking lot soccer game.
30 Rock is all new as well. If you aren’t paying attention I pretty much have nothing else to say to you. It’s the funniest show on TV right now, hands down, and it could definitely take all the ratings help it can get. Watch it. Record it. Tell all your friends.
We don’t get any new Supernatural this week, but tonight’s re-run is still a pretty solid episode and gives us a little more insight into Sam and Dean, as well as their relationship, when they were kids (it also has some great bits, specifically with Dean as the gym teacher).
And hopefully you all caught the premier of Mythbusters last night. If not you missed Adam and Jamie basically liquifying a hatchback with a piece of rocket-propelled steel moving upwards of 650 mph.

What I’m Watching Tonight:
Scrubs is back with an all-new half hour episode tonight at 7:00. Apparently the Janitor tells everyone that him and Lady are getting married in the Bahamas in order to score some free wedding gifts, but the plan backfires when all of the guests starting RSVP-ing to the invites. Sweet. I have to say I had some inital worry about Scrubs this season, but in all in all the episodes this year have been just as strong as any other season I can remember. I’m still convinced the introduction and focus on all of the new interns is either leading to some type of spin-off or them continuing the show for at least another year minus a couple of bigger cast members (probably JD and Dr. Cox). But who knows? I’m just happy that it’s still on and still funny as hell.
Daddy Issue Island is back with a new episode tonight as well. Apparently it has something to do with Ben having to atone for all of the terrible things that he’s done to people. And also it seems we may see the smoke monster for the first time this season. Not that I ever really had any idea where it was going before, but the whole trapped in the 70’s thing this season is starting to wear pretty thin as far as I’m concerned. For so long the focus was surviving the island/getting off the island. Then it shifted to The Oceanic 6 getting back to the island/Sawyer and the left behinds surviving the time jumps and now…? Where are they going? I dunno, I guess I just figured at some point the balance between questions and answers would start to shift to the making sense side and we would have some sort of idea what was going on. But whatever, they got me be the nards and I’ll be watching tonight with the rest of y’all.
And lastly, the triumphant return of Mythbusters is tonight on Discovery. It’s been far too long since I’ve gotten a good Kari Byron fix and the premiere is a two hour episode all about demolition derby myths, which means lots of exploding cars. And how can that possibly not be awesome?

What I’m Watching Tonight:
Fringe is back after what feels like a season and a half break. I don’t know if the hiatus was Idol induced or they just really didn’t want to run re-runs, but it’s honestly been so long I can hardly remember what was even going on in the last batch of new episodes? I’m going to go out on a limb though and guess that there will be some weird scientific occurence that kills people within the first five minutes. Olivia will say “John Scott” at least 11 times. Walter will make a request for some weird food while holding someone’s enlarged vertebrae in his hand and then Pacey will be sarcastic about it. JJ, do you have to screw us so bad every week, twice a week? DO YOU?
Anyways, the return I’m the most stoked for is Rescue Me tonight on FX. I really didn’t get to see much of Season 4 so I’m debating whether or not I should just watch tonight or let the next couple build up until I can get myself up to speed (I know I should catch up but I just don’t know if I have the time)? Regardless, Tommy Gavin and The Firefighters is one of the best programs on TV when the series is actually running and I welcome it back with open arms.
The only other thing I have on the docket for this evening is a new Reaper. It looks like the boys take a road trip to kill a giant monster and we get to see even more of the super hot Jenny Wade returning as Ben’s demonic girlfriend. I think this season has been just as funny and entertaining as the last, although I could stand for a lot more plot/character advancement (especially in the case of Andi). I just hope The CW realizes that they have a quality program on their hands (ha!) and gives it a chance to come back next year instead of replacing with yet another show about wealthy asshole teenagers who are way too skinny.
Oh, and if you’re in Chicago bear in mind Reaper is being pushed back tonight becase of the Cubs game. It’s listed as a 10:30 start but last time I believed that I ended up with 47 minutes of news and about 8 minutes of the actual show. Please adjust accordingly.
