Since 2009 is almost over, here is a list of movies to look forward to in the next year or 2. They are all confirmed with release dates and keep in mind that this is only a partial list. If you know otherwise, please let me know so I can update.

Daft Punk and Disney

Daft Punk has signed on to write the original music soundtrack for Walt Disney’s Tron 2.0. The film is scheduled to be released in 2011 and is supposed to be the next chapter after the first film. The storyline for Tron 2.0 involves the films original actor, Jeff Bridges, and a light jet-light cycle battle sequence.



For Daft Punk members, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, this will be their first feature film to be involved in. They directed a movie called Electroma but didn’t feature any of their own music but they have provided most of the music for Interstella 5555 anime. For any Tron or Daft Punk fans, this could be the greatest news we’ve heard of yet. Now to wait for 2011 to get here already. AHHH!

Also FYI: Daft Punk has announced that they will be touring again in 2010-2011. WOOHOO!
