Weeds Season 5 ep 2

“previously on weeds” It takes us through memory lane of last season and episode one with what happened with Nancy and finally that there is actually a baby in Nancy.

We open tonight’s episode with Cesar in Nancy’s home because Esteban believes that she is in need of company. The next scene is at Nancy’s sister’s house Jill with her twin girls and her ranting about “typical Nancy” and acting as if she has “no life”. Nancy is getting mani-pedis and of course Cesar is there, the “escapes”. The old “bakini wax” excuse.

The next scene is opened with Silas and Doug walking through the state forest, and of course Doug being Doug. Silas continues in a little further and we encounter a cartel with semis. Oh boy! Following this encounter we see Nancy in a prison sitting in a cubby with the glass seperator and the phone…talking to none other then Guillermo Garcia Gomez. To which I’m none too surprised (it was in last week’s previews). He looks broken up, pale, unhealthy and understandably pissed. Guillermo to Nancy: “you wanna act like a big boy you’re going to get treated like a big boy” Nancy and Guillermo get into a tease-sort-of-friendly vibe about “titty tattoos” when Guillermo drops “I know you’re the rat & rats die” Nancy’s face goes from relaxed to worried, and Nancy again tells someone she’s pregnant. “You’re a fool you’re not the wife you’re the knocked up punta whore rat she end up in a landfill lady parts all chopped out face all unreconizeable, you were an interesting person to know Nancy Botwin get your affairs in order blanca I’m not the one to worry about”. Shit just got real.

We see Celia and Quinn’s boyfriend. Nothing new or exciting really, she’s being released but nothing and again too surprising. Back to Andy and Jill, with Andy making up lies about the Korean gang and how Shane has to stay there to be safe or until the trial. Clear sexual tension between the two of them as well. I put money on those two sexing it up later.

Finally back to Silas and Doug. Their captors start asking questions and finally find the weed, they’re released and stole Silas’ strain. Back to Nancy’s crazy sister, drunk with Andy and her complaining about her husband, how Nancy plays the victim and how she is the actual victim. Andy goes in for the kill and the makeout session with Nancy’s sister.

Nancy and Dean Hodes are discussing the fate of Nancy and if she dies in a random hotel room. Silas will become Shane’s legal guardian, and making it really clear that Dean must take care of this if anything happens.

Back to Celia, who has organized Quinn’s now ex’s tent of weapons which sort of brings the LOLs in its ridiculousness. She has no where else to go and is begging to stay, you feel bad for her as she says that she has no friends and no where to go.

First sex scene of the season! Andy and Jill! Who called that? Nancy drinking whiskey? Is she actually preggo? Oh boy. Hello fancy room and a gun. Hello Esteban, “are you drunk” Esteban is visibly upset that she is acting out with ‘his baby’. $100 dollar question “when am I going to end up in a landfill?” Hello 2nd sex scene of the season, Esteban practially raping Nancy who looks like she half enjoyed it. “Here you don’t dictate the plans of this arrangement.”

“Time to go”-Cesar roll credits.
Not half bad! Bigger improvement on the first episode for sure 4/5 absolutely. I enjoyed it, you almost feel bad for Nancy and how far deep she’s gotten herself into this mess I hope this season is going to be more intense then last season, which I have no doubts. Until next week!
