Trials HD

Fans of Excite Bike should be excited for Xbox Live Arcade’s newest downloadable title, Trials HD. It mixes puzzles, pure adrenaline, and real time physics to make one of the most satisfying time trial experiences of this decade.

Starting the game is easy and makes you feel like a pro right right away, but the tables turn quickly as you enter three of the game’s more challenging modes: Medium, Hard, and Extreme. The game also has a tournament mode in which you can unlock faster and more reliable bikes, as well as new Skill modes.

If trying and failing a million times isn’t your thing, the game also includes a map editor in which you can create ridiculous courses of your own and ship it out to friends and randoms all over Xbox Live.

With challenging puzzles, pretty graphics, and tons of unlockables, Trials HD is on the top of the list for this years Games of Summer.

photo Ever wondered what Chris Hardwick, host of the 90’s hit show Singled Out, has been up to? He hosts a hilarious version of E!’s Talk Soup entitled Web Soup on G4TV. The channel is making a comeback in a big way and I give a lot of the credit to shows like X-play, Attack of the Show, and of course Web Soup. Check your local listings for viewing times (typically every Sunday, 9PM ET).

A classic television moment with: Arrested Development

Tobias - Are you calling me a coward?

Warden Gentles - There’s only one man I’ve ever called a coward, and that’s Brian Doyle Murray. No, what I’m calling you is a television actor.

Tobias - Ouch.
