Tonight on ‘Southland’: 1.04 Sally in the Alley

NBC 10/9c

I felt that last weeks episode was the best of the series so far. I hope that they keep up the quality of the episodes. I said it last week, and I will say it again, the more I see the more I love!!

Episode description from TVGuide.com:

Moretta and Bryant try to track down the identity of a woman whose dead body was being used for target practice by gang members. Meanwhile, Moretta’s younger sister disappears, revealing clues about his past. And Lydia offends Clarke when she criticizes his methods.

Tonight on ‘Southland’: 1.03 See The Woman

NBC 10/9c

Tonight is another new episode of the new cop drama Southland. The more episodes I see, the more I like this show. It is quickly becoming one of my favorite shows on TV.

Episode description from TVGuide.com:

Sherman opens up about his past, making it clear to Cooper why he joined the force. Meanwhile, Dewey (C. Thomas Howell) fawns over a famous actor (Tom Sizemore) in trouble with the law. And Chickie regrets taking Dewey on as a partner after he fails to keep track of the celeb criminal.

Tonight on ‘Southland’: 1.02 Mozambique

NBC 10/9c

Episode description from TVGuide.com:

The mother of an abandoned baby girl found in a busy intersectoin is sought, and the case stirs up past issues for Lydia. Elsewhere, Bryant and Moretta place a juvenile in a student police program in order to protect her.

So far, I like this show. There has only been 1 episode, so not much to base an opinion on, but it looks promising. Especially considering the producers behind this show (John Wells, Christopher Chulack). If you are looking for a new cop drama or something to replace the void left by ER, consider Southland. This is definitely a show I will be DVRing.

To hype us all up for tomorrow’s epic NBC line-up (Parks and Recreation, two new The Offices, and the premiere of Southland), I bring you a delightful interview with Amy Poehler. -webravebees

“It’s just a comedy about a lot of deluded crazy people who have various degrees of power.” (On her new show Parks and Recreation)

“I take pleasure in the disappoint in their eyes when I’m not funny.”
