The film will be called The Power of the Dark Crystal and is aiming for a 2011 release. Set hundreds of years after the first film, Thurma, an evil and mysterious fire girl lives in the blazing center of the planet. She steals a shard of the crystal in hopes of reigniting the dying sun! There is only one thing powerful enough to heal the star - a shard of the crystal. I’ll gladly wait another 2 years for this film. In the age of CG, I can’t wait to see a new film with puppetry.
