—>Taylor Momsen<— Pretty Reckless - I La-La-La-La-Love You
In the beginning of this week, Taylor Momsen, best known for playing Jenny Humphrey on CW’s Gossip Girl, debuts her band The Pretty Reckless this week in New York. Pretty Reckless is a pop-rock band where Taylor Momsen not only performs as the lead vocalist and guitarist but she writes all the of the songs for the band. Imagine the tween girls that stayed out on a school night just to watch her.
—>Ed Westwick<— The Filthy Youth - The Confidence
Can’t forget Ed Westwick, best known for playing Chuck Bass. He also is the lead singer for his English indie rock band The Filthy Youth. Here in the USA, we’re used to hearing him play as “Chuck Bass, wealthy bad-ass playboy” and not as “Ed Westwick, British punk rocker” so listening to the bands songs is a trip since he’s using his real accent. He’s pretty much a good actor if you couldn’t recognized his voice.
—>Leighton Meester<—
Today, On-Air with Ryan Seacrest premiered Cobra Starship’s new single Good Girls Go Bad featuring Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester. The song is down right fun to listen to and you can dance to the beat even if it sounds a bit cheesy. Cobra Starship is the group behind the Snakes on a Plane soundtrack “Bring It (Snakes on a Plane)” and how they claim that Pete Wentz is the only reason why they’re famous. Their latest song, Good Girls Go Bad, features Leighton singing a very catchy bridge and rapping to the Cobra Starship chorus. I had my doubts about Leighton singing but she surprisingly sings really well. She is a very talented TV actress but is the world ready for her new album to be released? Why not. For now, you can just listen to her on Cobra Starship’s new single.
I’ll post up the music video as soon as it premeires but you can listen to the song itself which I linked below or listen to it on Cobra Starship’s Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/cobrastarship
