Kiss of Death
Last week, I took it upon myself to add a couple of shows to my rotation to replace shows that has either been collecting dust on the DVR because of lost interest (Heroes), or has run its seasonal course (The College Humor Show). One of those shows is Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. As a fan of the Terminator trilogy, my interest piqued last year when I heard there was going to be a spin-off, depicting events after Judgement Day. But with work, and continuing to bury myself knee deep in shows by partaking in HBO series Rome and Deadwood, not to mention the animes and Japanese/Korean dramas on the side, there just wasn’t enough room for Sarah Connor and company. That is until recently.
After watching the first three episodes of season 1, I was pleased. Terminator on terminator action, time travel and robot eye candy - what more can a guy ask for? But then I come across this bad boy. Now considering the date says 4/10, I will wait until official clarification. An already built-in pun is waiting in the wings, “Sarah Connor Chronicles is Terminated”. But I won’t be holding my breath in hopes that it isn’t the case. You see, the other show I started watching is Kings…

The premise was interesting enough: modern day monarchy mirroring the Biblical story of King David; complete with accents spoken only by royalty. After a slow paced pilot, I was completely sucked in. Of course, after a month in and after my investment, Kings suffers from television regicide. So forgive me for not being confident in TSCC’s chances. But I will ride these two shows to their pre-destined graves.
Oh, and not to add fuel to the jinxing fire, but I watched the Dollhouse pilot yesterday, and I will watch Parks and Recreation tonight. Their addition to the rotation is quite possible. I apologize in advance just in case…you know.
